My story
Alfalfa is the sweetest dog! He is so gentle and just want to sleep with his head in your lap! He loves to snuggle and will be sure to keep you warm and toasty. He’s also great with other dogs, we have a 5 lbs other foster and our resident 35 lb dog and he does great with both. He’ll play when our 35 lb dog instigates and they’ll play wrestle and wear each other out. He doesn’t seem too interested in toys yet, but he seems to be mildly interested in bones. We haven’t tried crating him and leaving so i don’t want to say he’s crate trained but he will wander in and lay down in my resident dog’s crate, so he might be crate trained. We’re working on potty training, we’ve had a few days of no accidents, but we’ve only had him like 6 days as of writing this so want to give him some more time before claiming he’s potty trained. When we encounter people, dogs, and kids on walks, he’s gentle and just sniffs and wags his tail. He hasn’t been off leash with children but on walks he seems to see them no different than an adult or dog. Overall, he’s a total sweetheart and a classic gentle, loving, silly pittie

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at WaldosRescue.org and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog. We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.
Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
