POSITION: Bookkeeper
COMPENSATION: Base up to $45,000 plus paid overtime and bonus. Benefits include, Medical, 12 Vacation Days, 3 Personal/Sick Days, Paid Holidays, 3 Additional Paid Holidays for Seasonal Office Closing and 401K

SUMMARY:
A rapidly growing litigation law firm is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their team. The Partner and staff have a deep commitment to helping those who have been injured by large corporations and are seeking in an individual that exhibits integrity, teamwork, reliability, intelligence and honesty.
The Bookkeeper will handle the law firm's financial recordkeeping for three offices, including recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with completing annual tax forms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all phases of bookkeeping, including cash disbursement, cash receipts, accounts receivable, accounts payable and collections
Maintain chart of accounts and historical records, adhering to firm bookkeeping and filing policies and procedures in collaboration with the Managing Partner, Office Manager and Accountant
Verify, allocate, and post transactions for all accounts
Research account transactions, demonstrating a keen ability to recognize and resolve discrepancies
Make bank deposits and receipts of money
Reconcile bank accounts and distribute money within departments
Accurately track and manage accounts payable to effectively manage cash flow
Receive, approve, and/or decline client invoices
Code and input payables, manage bill due dates, schedule payment and write and mail checks
Post to, balance and maintain general ledger
Assist accountants with tax return preparation
Adhere to all federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports and advising management on needed actions
REQUIRED SKILLS:
2-6 years of full charge bookkeeping experience
Experience working in Excel, QuickBooks and Timeslips required
Law firm or professional services experience required
Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
Must have capacity to maintain confidentiality at all times
Bachelors degree preferred
