A volunteer writes: A beautiful girl without a kingdom of her own.....surrendered by people who originally found her as a stray two months ago as they have two many pets, Princess joins us with wonderful comments from them. In the short time she has been with us, it's clear that she has earned every accolade. We're told that she's lived with 4 adults and 3 teens, is housetrained, gets along with all people and strangers, and lived with other dogs and gets along well. Indeed, Princess is already being used as a helper dog to help asses new dogs in their behavior evaluations. Rockstar! Princess pulls hard on the leash and will benefit from a harness and/or leash training, and showed off her housetraining skills as soon as we were out the door. In the backyard she didn't want to go into a pen that was covered in snow, happier going into one which had been cleared. A Princess indeed. Beautifully groomed, low key and calm, she comes when I call her, putting her paws in my lap to give me gentle kisses. When I sat to take some notes she sat by me leaning against me for some petting. Wagging her tail at other dogs it's clear she's ready to meet them all, and did well in a play group later in the day. Gentle and sweet, Princess is looking for a new kingdom (Princessdom?) in which she can love on her 'subjects' (better known as family). Acing her behavior assessment earned her a place in adoptions where she's waiting to meet you. Do it today!

I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 02/04/2015 from NY 10460, owner surrender reason stated was TOO MANY PETS

If you cannot adopt foster ! Fostering is free and does not have to be pernament it can be short term but will save a life ..contact a rescue group from the link above for more info about fostering
From The ACC site: To help ensure successful adoptions, please fill out a pre-adoption application (/pdfs/adoptions/AdoptionApplication.pdf) and bring it with you when you come into the Care Center to adopt a pet.
